They certainly need help with spelling, except for 3 or 4 words, everything is spelled wrong.

I think the best help they can be given is to be immediately brought home.

ya right, like that's gonna happen. Bush doesn't care about our troops, otherwise he would have got them out already. Bushs' dirty war in Iraq is nothing but his form of population control here in the states. Over 3,000 troops have died over there. Bush needs to pull his frakking head out of his frakking ass and get our men and women HOME! Too many loved ones have gone down, we don't want anymore to go!

P.S. In my opinion, Bush is the WORST president in history! As far as i am concerned, the presidency is vacant.

If everyone stuck their head in the sand like you this country wouldn't be as free as it is.

:Smug:

If everyone blindly followed an obviously failed, and obviously oblivious, "leader", this country would not be worth fighting for. Dissent is patriotic. Dissent is the lifeblood of this country. This country isn't free. The Patriot Act? The Detainee Treatment Act? The "re-interpretation" of common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions? Far from free, but far from not salvageable. It is dissent that keeps this country worth fighting for.

It is pathetic to make light of such obvious attempt to once again "swift-boat" a critic of the administration.

Why would Kerry insult the troops? The answer is, he didn't. No one would. We all support the troops, even those of us on the left who want them to come home as soon as possible. I am tired of the current administration hiding behind the troops when their rhetoric has them against the wall.

A decorated vet, who actually did serve (as opposed to Texas Air National Guard and Mr. 5 Deferements), would not belittle the sacrifice of the 140,000 Americans currently in Iraq and Afghanistan or the 2819 who did not return or the 20,000 wounded. To entertain such a thought is ridiculous. He was badly delivering a joke about the President and his failed policies (it wasn't even about the President's education, it was about his uneducated foreign policy). He is guilty of nothing but horrible comic timing.

It would be good if we don't turn this into a political debate which may get ugly (not trying to insult anyone, just wanting to keep the mood of this place as light as it has always been), so if anyone wants to debate (no flames, intelligent discourse would be appreciated while flames will be ignored) darkestm@darkestamatter.com.

Freedom and terrorism?... Is that what the war is about? I always thought it was about the greed for oil. Hopefully the ethanol refining plants will keep growing in the US and our reliance on the Mideast for their oil will cease. The USA needs to leave the Arab countries alone and stop invading their countries in the name of "peace".

So where's all the oil? If it was about oil, gas prices wouldn't have been where they were.

Whether Kerry intended it to come out like that or not, he said what he said and that can't be taken out of context. It WAS an insult to the troops. Most of the troops do believe in their mission and they follow orders without fault, it's just too bad the left likes seeing them prosecuted just for doing their jobs.

Kerry accused our soldiers of going into houses at night like the Gestapo, with no evidence what so ever. His patriotism ended when he slapped thousands of Nam vets in the face with his Jane Fonda antics.

The oil thing is just a platitude by the peace at any cost crowd, but this is truly what Kerry and his ilk think of American, they hate it and everything aobut it, so they think solders are stupid for fighting for America.

This is a comment from a 30+ year Army veteran from a military site.

"I'm embarassed and sickened by the left wing in this country, I've wasted a lifetime if this is what we are coming to. Where lies and subversion is repaid with power, and the sheep falling inline to march lockstep with the liars. They deserve the government they seek the one that calls those that serve and defend the country NAZIs, terrorists attacking children in the night, and stupid."

I know of no one who calls our brave soldiers NAZIs, but those who sent them off to war for no good reason deserve severe criticism. And if you wish to see "sheep falling inline to march lockstep with the liars" I suggest you look to the corporate media that are cheerleading for the war.

I can sense the anger from the left at George Bush...Why not turn that anger to our real enemy...the Islamic Fascists. They want you to convert to Islam and take part in their Theocracy. Oh and they wont take no for an answer. They'll kill innocents, even bomb their own people to make it happen.

If we leave Iraq without letting it become a stable Democracy, they will be coming here. They'll never forgive us for supporting Isreal, and they'll never quit attacking us.

Yeah, I am pretty angry with them...

It was Kerry that said in a public statement that he compared our soldiers to Nazis. You guys just won't admit when one of your fellow lefties fucks up.

A quote from the President of Iraq:

Talabani, who criticized Chirac in 2003 for not joining forces with the United States, said it was time to move forward and suggested big contracts might be open for French firms.

"Your oil companies can come to Iraq ... Americans didn't interfere (in our oil) and don't have any right to interfere."

Got a link to his statement ?

All this started because the WhiteHouse spin doctors , in their last ditch effort to save their Congressional asses, took what Kerry said out of context and made it sound like he was criticizing the soldiers , instead of the miscreant in the Oval Office.

I am very active in the military community and most of the troops that I have contact with are glad we are there. We are fighting the Global war on terrorism right there in Iraq.

If you dont believe me...go ahead and log on to www.usparatroopers.org and you can ask them yourself...

"Glad" we are in Iraq?

I don't believe that for a second.

There werent any terrorist cells attacking Americans in Iraq before this needless waste of money and human lives , now its the ITT tech college of how to blow up as many Americans as possible 101.
