Overheads mics?

I need a pair of overheads mics.

Help me choosing between these two:

-Rode NT5's - 420$
-Studio Projects C4 - 399$

I love my nt5's....got the matched pair in perfect shape for $200 used! There are other good contenders in the same price range as the nt5's....I just got the first one that found a good deal on. I'm very pleased with the nt5's

Oktava MK-012 are great overhead mics dude... seriously try looking for them on ebay or craiglist... i got mine pretty cheap like 180$ for the pair.

nt5's seem to be the post popular ones and were generally used in most studios i've worked in and played in - nice clear sound

We've A/B'ed them against some KM184's and DPA 4091's among others, and they did really well. I've also used them as cymbal mics a couple of times with nice results.

Personally if I get the cash together for some new overhead mic's I'd be going for ATM450's as I've heard loads of good things about them.

MK012's are also highly regarded everywhere. Really can't go wrong with them.

Only put down I have for the NT5's is that they have no pads, making them a bit less flexible than other mic's. Still very good mic's though.

In my opinion, all of the above are preferable to the Studio Projects or the Rode NT5s. You might have to look at used mics but all can be had for under $450/pair.

theyre $169 (each) when you put them in the cart, heard from one of the guys that works at that plave that when they did a shootout of a shit ton of OHs those were the winners. take that with a grain of salt as its an opinion but still!

Kel Audio HM 1's are amazinggg for the price, $180 each i think? Great reviews on gearslutz, i picked up a pair about a year ago. They are now my permanent OH mics, haha.

I've got a pair of ATM450s, a pair of NT5s and a pair of C4s. If I have time I will do a shootout as overheads tomorrow, I've never compared them myself so it will be cool to check out.
