Next Steps to follow
* Buy John Petrucci's Rock Discipline DVD
* Learn everything on the dvd to Perfection (Which will roughly require no less than 3 or 4 hrs of practice a day. Practice always with a Metronome!)
* Watch some Marty Friedman videos (So you'll get the feel of how in the world a Kelly is really supposed to be played like)
* Become a Virtuoso! (A la Jason Becker)
And since you're a girl/woman you might as well check out Jennifer Batten for some serious inspiration either that or The Great KAT which I do not find amazing in any way.

Yeah Kat would be great if she made her own stuff up. Copying classical songs all the time is boring and silly after a while. Even though she is great at that.. she isn't an inspiration for me.
