just recorded the song Children of Bodom today, had to use Audacity because Cubase is fucking up so quality isn't the best, but enjoy !

well played.
the reason why you have so "dirty" sound is because you recorded too laud.
you simply overdrove the input, reduce the volume that the highest peak will reach tops -2 or -3 dB edit it, compress it, limit it, and everything ells you willing too,you'll have very decent record quality.

don't forget a GOOD MICROPHONE. Try a sm57 they are decent dynamic mics, decent for guitars.

Um... actually they're great mics for heavy guitars. Almost nothing better, maybe an i5.
