should probably wait for Herr Møøse to comment on Temnozor, but "Vedovstom Krepka Chernaja Slava Rusi" and "Fragments" are the 2 things I've heard.. ambient keyboardy stuff mixed with thin-guitar-sounding black metal w/ folk melodies.

I like it, can't say I love it.

Temnozor's "Horizons" is fucking great, a genius release... the collection of stuff on "Fragments" doesn't hold a candle too it. If you're gonna start listening to Temnozor, definitely get "Horizons".

I picked up 2 Pagan Reign albums at RedStream after hearing some samples not too long ago. Pretty good stuff, but nothing great as most have stated. I'd say pick 'em up if you have some extra cash and do it in reverse chronological order.

So I've listened to this about 3 times now and it just gets better with each listen. Lots of small nuances that give it some depth. I agree with the review posted on page 1 -- this isn't dark at all, on the contrary you can hear the whole "slavic sun worship" vibe.

Some folks here should REALLY f'ing love this: MINJ, Dark One, J, Krigloch, maybe Zod...

....think: "Jester Race" meets "Valdr Galga" and you'll get a good idea of what I'm talking about.

I think that sound would be phenomenal live on stage. It's got that Moonsorrow catchy vibe to it....sign them up for HC 2!!!

The MP3 samples on their site for the new one makes them sound like a serious contender for Heathen Crusade. That flute reminds me of Kroda.
