Heyaaa!!!
I´m just cleaning tracks of the last show I´ve recorded, it was the Dime Fest in Madrid, Spain. In its third edition the people went completely insane, walls of death, continuous moshpits...buah, I was In PA area seeing all the violence around, my god! It was awesome, there will be a video of the show as long as the audio.
Well, for the engineers:
I recorded 16 tracks thru my Saffire 56 + Octopre: 8 mikes for drums, 4 for guitars (DI included), DI Bass, 3 tracks for vocals. I used direct outs from the main soundboard, analog Amek recall, good preamps. but outs are post eq and fader, and that was a big problem during the show (more than 3 hours of music).
But anyways, I think I will reach such a great quality. The clip:

Tell me what you think, it´s my first time mixing, and I begun yesterday....huuujuu cheers!

Sounds like u had some fun out there dude:heh:

For the mixing part :

Voice is quite loud and the guitars a bit low compared to the drums.
Bass sounds fine with the guitars at the current level, but if you lift them you might wanna lift that too.

Sounds quite good, I would change the kick sample, it sounds like a fart :/ and the drums need a bit of quantization at the start if you can, but otherwise its pretty good.

Also your trigger is off sometimes, it flams with the overheads, look out for that.

It sounds good! A few suggestions... I would lower the bass a bit, maybe put some slight distortion, I would change the snare, try something crackier, I would throw some more verb on drums (or raise the room mics) , in order to make them sound bigger and have more concert" feeling and raise the audience for the same reason. Check the Exodus trailer of the upcoming dvd to see what I mean.

Ariba!!!!!

Dude this is really good. Only thing I have to say is the left guitar is really quiet compared to the right one, but other than that I really dig it. Awesome vibe you've got going.

I love the snare reverb! What plugin did you use for that? edit: what snare drum, too, I love it!

Wel, mapex endorsed the show, so snare must be mapex, I don´t remember which model. The verb is one of the awesome TC Electronic Powercore, an algorytm from the TC6000, holy fuck! I´m in love with this verb.
It has just gate, eq and compression.

I had problems with ambience track, it comes from a camera, I had to filter the shit out, like 300Hz-9000 Hz, and I had some phasing problems. I automatized the track in the parts where there are less intruments, to hear the crowd, but I wonder how sneap mixes the crown in theire live DVD´s!!
