I'm looking for a Kataklysm/Lamb of God/SYL type of guitar tone and I think I've narrowed my future rig to the 6505. The question is should I get the 6505 or the 6505+? Any suggestions?

Do you use the clean channel much? If not, go with the 6505. I personally think the 6505+'s lead channel sounds a bit worse than the 6505, but they both sound great.

I'd for sure go with a 6505 or original 5150, in that case. Youc an find 5150's on ebay for 600 or so all day long!
