Peavey 6505

I was wondering if anyone knows the differences between the PEAVEY 6505 and 6505 plus heads. I know that the the 6505 plus has an extra preamp tube, and i've read somewhere that the 6505 has more gain than the plus.. is that true?? I'm considering getting one sometime in the near future, and i'll probably end up going for the 6505 (not plus) because i'm on a tight budget! But i wanna know if it will be worth saving more for the plus..

Also what are people's views here on the Kranks??

Cheers for that! I like the idea of having more gain so i'll try out the 6505..

Both have absolutely absurd amounts of gain, and the 6505+ isn't THAT much more expensive, used. I'd probably go for the + (II) just for the seperate EQ's.

Hmm.. I'd rather buy brand new ones, and to be honest i don't really use cleans that much so the seperate eq won't matter. Most artists i've read about use the 5150 not mkII.
