Per Wilberg????

No it doesn't. Actually I don't listen to either Dimmu or CoF... Guess my humor went over someone's head again.
Black metal aside, the point was that I don't think Per being a member of the band is any use if he's just gonna stand in the background with his nice subtle parts that just colour the music a bit, rather than being a part of it.

Moonlapse why are you saying that Opeth doesn't play The Moor live when Kielbasa just said that Per played this and that part in it a few days ago? :)

Oh my. I must really be braindead. I'll be sure to step my bedtime back a few hours again.

Uh anyway, let me just repeat what I said again. Opeth + Keyboards = much potential goodness. I think tha's about right.

I would rather Per join the band than Steven. It doesn't seem that Per would try to push himself into their music so much, unlike Steven who tries to be in everything he can. I also think Per has a better voice, plus he has long hair so he's cooler :).

And yes like ggggggu said it's Wiberg not Wilberg.

I think it would be really interesting. We're talking about Opeth here so i'm sure they could find some cool and creative way to incorporate keys without making them sound out of place or anything. Oh and why is everybody assuming Opething are doing a symphonic black metal album or something? You don't NEED keys on a black metal album at all.

Id prefer if he didnt join the band perminently, he doesn't seem to be that tallented judging by the way he played a fair judgement. Also im not a fan of his backing vocals.

It would be very interesting if steven wilson joined the band but there's no way that will happen as he has a great band of his own.

If opeth decides they need a keyboardist....all the time. I will gladly do it. I don't know how good per really is. But man..i fhe can screw up on the piano solo in A Fair Judgement. then he is pathetic. That is like screwing up chopsticks. If you think you need keys to make a black metal album...then you've obviously never heard Immortal o rDarkthrone.

Totally agree.
I was at the Shepard's Bush show and i rememer cringing every time the guy openend his mouth. And when he started playing a fair judgement I coudn't watch. The dude is totally not right for the band. Fair play to him for the keys he plays on the damnation stuff n all but I would be fairly worried if he was to become a permanent fixture.

As for Steven Wilson joining the band...Oh my dear god no.
