take it as a reference, I know it's impossible to have something equal!

Please help a buddy of this forum lol
I don't like this sound so I can't get close enough, yeah I know it's lame but I can't get something similar because I hate it so much lol.
I tried revalver or pod (with impulses) but it was too different.

cheers

I Think if you want to sound like these guys, you need to stop worry about guitars and concern more about drums....

the problem is I won't do any other oldschool deathmetal bands from now and on, we're living in 2008 so amps are differents and so recording techniques.
They want a marshall sound, I don't have a marshall, I can't recreate it, that's it!
If I can make them happy with a marshall sounds I'm ok if not they should stop breaking my balls lol
I never promise bands to sound like this or that band, it was really clear about that in the first place, I said I can't recreate this stuff, they said it was ok then.
I trusted the guys but when they finished with the guitar recording they insisted in "that marshall" sound lol
I'm sick seriously, really sick.
fuck this shit!

Try to run whatever amp you've got through a Marshall cab. Then you don't have to tweak yourself to death to make the character of the distortion right, but you'll get the Marshall-cab-character.

I can't make out any guitarsound in that video..just noise chaos and triggered drums.

I would give it a try with the krank or better: with the crunch channel of the JSX, but I don't have the time atm...

till when do you need it?

I don't know how can I cut/boost on my 5150 mkI/dual recto (old 2 channel)/bugera 333(LOL)/Randall T2
It's really hard, you can't recreate that magical jcm800 attack... well the sound on the video it's the worst way to use a jcm800, the amp sounds so much better when you don't cut the mids.
I guess Ill use the t2, it's basically based on a hot rodded marshall, but of course it sounds so different!!

Yeah I know buddy, I remember all the time we talked on aim about this issue with old school deathmetal band that want to be in a way "modern" lol.

Maybe next week, if you'll have time it's ok.

thanks lasse anyway ;)

I guess I could reamp it for you... If it's not like fifteen five minutes long quad tracked songs... :Smug:
I have two modded JCM 900 heads at home (collecting dust) and I can borrow a 2203 pretty much when I want...
PM me if you will.:)

I have a single channel JCM 800 but honestly I think it sucks for death metal tones, why the hell they want a JCM 800 tone when you have 5150 and Dual Rectifier ??
BTW U.S JCM's have different power amp tubes (5881) than european ones (el34) and US ones sound a little looser.

They want a jcm because is the most used amp for old school death bands.
I mean I gave them a boogie tone that was good but they insisted on that shitty scooped sound.
I don't get death bands! lol

Yeah it was because it was hard to find el34 at that time, something like that I think!
