Please help with POD pro

hello, i sold my old amp to a friend recently. I am considering getting a POD pro because of all the good crap i hear about them. I plan on hooking it up to my computer and then conveying the sound to my reciever / large home theater system. Will this be easy? How does the signal go from the POD pro to my computer? USB cable? SPIDF cable?

also will this work well? I have seen others with a similar setup talk about this and wondering how kickass this will be.

I've been wanting to get a bass POD pro for the same reasons why you want the guitar version. I currently have a Line6 GuitarPort, and it was fairly simple to set up. I know others that use PODs this way, and they all seem to love it. It would connect to your computer via a USA cable, and then to your sound system with (I presume) normal audio (RCA, etc) cables. I could be slightly off as I haven't done this other than with the GuitarPort, but I'm sure some others here can clarify.

The Line6 GuitarPort is a pretty basic computer interface for guitars, etc. It basically allows you to plug directly into your computer to record tracks with programs like Nuendo, etc. The GuitarPort software is pretty cool, and works with the Line6 POD series, as well.

I got a POD XT Live some days ago, so I'm not that deep into it 'til now.
For the first impression it sounds great IMO, either connected to my Marshall used just as a power amp, or connected to my computer (via USB).

Works out quite well!

I've heard that the GuitarPort works really good for recording directly into your computer, but i've been wondering this for a long time: What is the single solitary knob on there supposed to do? I ask this only because I don't own it.
