The opposite of what you said is actually the correct answer, and not just because Kreator wouldn't have sounded the same without Slayer guiding the way.

hell I'd listen to Renewal before I'd listen to those albums.
Both bands have released their fair share of pretty bad albums in more recent years. Slayer's classic material is still obviously superior to Kreator's best.

Endorama isn't horrible and is certainly better than Slayer's trash material. Endorama is disturbing at first because Kreator aren't supposed to be a rock band playing love songs, but if you shut your eyes and open your mind some of the songs are pretty good. Some are pretty bad. The live version of Golden Age is vastly better than the album version.
