What about this?

FWIW, I had to get a refund on the Pod HD500. SSssssssssooooooooooooooo mmmuuuuccccchhhh tone suckage!! Was unbelievable!! It turned my guitar tone into thin buzzy shite... and I wasn't even using any amp sims or anything like that. Just as an effects unit.

Line 6 fucks the pooch on sound quality yet again.

Seriously though it's hilarious to me the amount of free plugs for Win users when Mac is the platform used by the overwhelming majority of audio engineers.

Mac is definitely not the platform of choice of tinkerers and developers.

Linux is, and the audio drivers blow. (So much that nothing meaningful can be done with the OS).

Go figure.

The Muse Receptors run a modified Linux kernel though (which in and of itself is way closer to OSX than Win). I want to DIY one of those, I'd really rather use free VSTs live than most of these rackmount processor shits.

I think the freeware stuff is usually made by persons who can't afford buying a Mac system in the first place
It's the fact in my case at least ..

Hi onquel. Would you start porting your plugins to osx if you would have a mac? Just asking. :)
