Pod Pro 2.0 - a question....

I was wondering if any of you could use the unprocessed direct out like a direct box for reamping? Also, anyone got some cool patches for the Pod Pro (non XT) for recording direct? I'm borrowing a friends and also don't really know how to program it other than turning the knobs on the front.

I guess the question is: is it the same thing as using a DI? Would any of you use it as a DI?

It won't sound as good as a quality DI.
