Pod DI / Bass

I have a Pod XT Rack pro and i was wondering, would it be possible for me to use it as a bass DI. I have recorded DI guitars using it (recording via USB), but do i need a bass POD to record a bass DI using it? or should there be no difference?

Should be fine. Though I'd expect a quality dedicated DI box to give you better results than the input on the POD. That goes for guitar and bass btw.

no difference at all, the only thing the Bass POD has is the bass amp models/cabs etc. but if it's for DIs you can use it, I do it all the time. Quality won't be countryman DI but it's certainly decent enough to work with, in my experience
