So... i had nothing to do today and figured that i'm making only metal sounds with that beast (pod)...
...well...here is my attempt on a more rock-ish sound with the POD xtPRO.
Its a cover of Cancer Bats - Lucifer's Rocking Chair ... i know its not the Diezel sound, but anyway:

that sounds pretty nice
im not feelin that snare tone
but the guitar tone pretty sick
lol i like the ending

you only used a pod?
did you line it into your inferface
if so, what one ? :O

( im researching on direct guitar, im still in the miking realm )

Well... the guitar tone isn't bad for a POD... kinda sounds more like Ratt though, with the snare drum from St. Anger :err:

hey man i see you use reaper
im trying out the demo right now

what makes reaper stand out the most for you, out of curiosity ?

im a cubase person, but im thinking of trying a new software out instead

I like using Reaper at home... keeps me from having to pay through the nose to upgrade PT LE's track count, plugins, etc. I still edit in PT though... the Editing workflow in Reaper is not quite there yet.

yes... the snare sux... i didnt even do nothing to the drums... my point was the guitar tone! :)
Yes... i used only a Gibson Explorer 76 -> POD -> DIGI002

well
your title didnt say

"snare tone attempt"
lol so fuck it

good job with the pod tone
i mostly mic my stuff cause amps have more character apposed to virtual amps
i mean, yea its harder to get a great tone from an amp
but i have heard some good tones on pods and stuff

Sure i prefere recording real amps.. but when i'm at my home computer i just record my guitars on the POD... it's easy as shit! :)
