I try to find some thread into forum but I fail :Smug:

Someone use it? And How you compare the job of the plugin with other vst like voxengo and similar?
I try voxengo and keFIR with some impulse but I not satisfied or maybe I'm not good

Or the last chance, someone use gearbox or pod xt or podfarm with impulse?

Hi,

I just bought it yesterday ! I mean, I've been using gearbox for a long time, and podfarm now. For me buying the vst is a good idea to be able to insert it anywhere and use its effects, its preamps etc. It's sometimes a nice touch to add. For a strictly guitarist point of view, it's not as good as revalver or a good use of impulses.

It doesn't sound bad. I sounds Line6 so it won't be real-like. You can use it a smart way, like did all those who used line6 in their production, but it won't sound really real (for distorted guitars I mean).

I use the farm with impulses especially when quad-tracking. I generally use revalver, so if I want a big bottom or dual rect sim in the 80-80 place I'd use that.

Gearbox is a great plugin. If you're looking for threads, here's a link to one I started a while back with a song I did using it. I typically use Voxengo's Curve EQ to tailor the guitar sound to the way I want it. I do not use any impulses with Line 6 stuff, as I don't think it translates over very well, at least not as well as Revalver and the like. If you're interested, the patch is in the 7th post down, if I'm not mistaken. Hope this helps!

EDIT: Crap, I just saw in my original thread that you posted a comment last month and already have the patch. Nevermind!

yeah sure I use it and I take some idea to make new one. Last evening I try to keep the signal from pod farm with no cabs, put it into keFIR and used some impulse from this forum, then I put some eq tips and the sound is good. Another way I keep the D.I track from pod and treat with Wagner Sharper 1 + keFIR and new impulse from Catharsis...
Now I'm doubt to buy vst plugin from line 6 :lol:

Has anyone noticed that POdfarm seems to sound way different than the hardware......I own a podxt and use it like a dongle....but the settings sound different from the bean to the vst plugin......And its not a good different....it sounds worse.....I have also talked with a few other people who have noticed this.......Anybody notice this here????

That sounds weird , i hope somebody can clarify on that. Did you try going direct in your interface and then process the sounds with pod farm?
