Poor Mans Triggering Question

I'm trying to coax this guy into an actual conversation so that we might help him, instead of single vague sentences.

Lets see about that two kick drum thing.
You want to use two kick drums instead of a double pedal. ok.
But you want to sample replace it, but you want the signal from each trigger, to go to one sample or set of samples.
so you end up with one kick drum in the end.
Way to go! You rock!

I'm not trying to be an ass about this, it just doesn't make any sense.
It will work, I'm not denying that, electrons will move through conductors, but what's the purpose?

See, the flaw in your thinking is that you're expecting people asking bizarre questions over the Internet to make sense. Give up on this and the world is a much happier place. I spent a lot of time asking people why they would want to spend $20 on a horrible op-amp just because it's old and they heard the number somewhere, and I only see the badgers twice a week now.

There are a lot of differences between using 2 kick drums and using a double pedal aside from wanting different sounds... If the drummer plays a double bass setup and that's what's comfortable for him, of course he's going to want to play it in the studio. Also, at extremely fast speeds, triggering 2 kick drums is infinitely easier than trying to trigger one kick drum because the drum is getting hit half as often as it would be with a double pedal. It severely decreases the amount of mistriggering you would have to try and work around using a single bass drum.
