Porcelain Heart video screen-shots

I'm torn. On the one hand, it looks way better than the TGC video, and the cinematography looks great. But the victorian theme and the whole abuse-theme kinda makes it iffy. I guess it depends on how it works with the lyrics and what kind of a narrative it ends up being. Right now it feels a tad cliché. But I'll reserve judgement till I finally see it.

I think it's a shame Opeth hasn't gotten to do more videos. While Metal-videos are rarely any good, the music video as a genre is full of potential, and I think Opeth could really do something different if they put their mind to it.

I know that I don't respect rules, excuse me...But Porcelain Heart and The Lotus eater are listennable somewhere since few hours...

I can't wait to see the video, but most of all to HEAR the song! First thing I do monday is buy the single off itunes!

By the way, for those interested, some pictures of Bogesunds slott:

They're putting money on this album. I think it's not too cheap for them to record church organs and rent a place like that for a video shoot.

This is the best I could do - I'm not as l33t as some of you guys.

Nice work man. Thanks. Cool pictures

The shots of the characters looks quite cliche and gay to me, but the band shots are awsome. It'll be exciting to see this video, though like someone else said videos are guite useless. Unless they are really really well done and work as a piece of art in itself that compliment's the music. Like that Tool video (Don't remember the song right now). This Opeth video looks like it's just something that was made to promote the band on MTV and the likes. But of course one can't be sure, not having seen it yet.

Anyways I like Mikael and Mendez's new instruments. I don't know about you guys, but I think it's the first time I've seen Mendez with a 5-string bass.

Btw guys and gals. I wouldn't worry. Don't forget this video has been made by Lasse Holie! This mans work with Porcupine Tree is breathtaking, there no way he'll turn in a lame music video! it'll be brilliant.

What the fuck? Using much money on a album doesn't mean they're selling out.

Be easier, I'm joking - take a look at the smileys. Really hate these talks about Opeth sold out. They never was a commercial band - even on "Damnation". Roadrunner have some money to put in promotion - it;s very good and it doesn't make Opeth's music more commercial or worse.

Those pics from the video looks veeery nice. And I like promo videos overall, definitely worth watching after years and years.
