porcupine tree - chloroform

I just listened to it (the link on progradio.net is currently "there").

I think it's great. Combined with the other preview song, which was also great, I can't wait for this album. 7 more weeks I guess. That's not too long.

porcupine tree sound like emotions captured in music.

the song chloroform is a new song, and it won't figure out in the new album. it sounds very quiet, except for the middle exciting part.

why should we always compare a band to another one????? porcupine tree is what i meant with my previous post and nothing else. so, i don't think you'll have any problems in dloading something and enjoy it ['cause you can't do anything else... :)]

we usually don't compare opeth to any other bands, because they're so unique... for porcupine tree is the same, in my opinion. so, loudsilence, don't make useless questions and download or buy something by pt... everything is worth your time [or money...]

I was just asking who they were similar to because I don't anything about them. And I can't download.

Opethfan1980 - From what I can tell from those promo edits..if you loved Lightbulb Sun, you'll love In absentia. There's even some "Opeth" thrown in 'Blackest Eyes'..

My favorite instrumental..hmm..Moonloop is excellent music if you just want to relax..I also really like Idiot Prayer, Up the Downstair, Waiting phase two...even the insignifcant ones like Light Mass Prayers and Pagan - they serve as great introductions for the songs that follow.

Moonloop is crazy, I just finsished seeing them live and they played 3 tracks off the new album...I think the instrumental "wedding Nails" will be a big favorite here...heheh SUPER Opeth sounding...crazy technical riffing too hehe Great show that was :p

Haha. 95% of you just like Porcupine Tree cause Mikael does.

Thats not to take away from the fact that they're bloody amazing. I just saw them last night in San Francisco and was absolutely blown away. They've probably become one of my favorite bands just from that performance alone. Halfway through, in between songs, I yelled "Thats it, I'm buying all your records!" and Steve looked at me and smiled. ;) Wow, thats one retarded looking smiley face... Anyway, the Tree was awe inspiring.

Though, I did find it funny waiting on line that some lady asked a guy how he heard of Porcupine Tree and he said "Well, I love Dream Theater, and heard of Porcupine Tree from the Opeth online forum". Stuff like that always makes me laugh
