Holy shit this new Porcupine Tree ...wow...it's really fucking good

One of my top 10 from 2005. Great feel to it.

Adrian Belew even plays on it a little. :worship:

I agree. Last time i saw them they were freaking tight and the place was packed (most came to see Anethema) , it was such an amazing show.
To be short here, Anethema sucked. PT chased everyone up the downstairs and all eyes were on PT that evening, they rocked.
It's Opeth vs Porcupine Tree, because Opeth plays in Utrecht, so i don't have a clue if it's gonna be full house tomorrow. :err: Twice in 8 months for me.
I hope they're gonna groove, they did last time.

YEAH!! 2night is the night! Porcupine Tree for the first time live WITH Oceansize supporting! W00t. To bad I will be missing Opeth wich is closer to my place but I've already seen them this year @ Amsterdam (brilliant).

My top 3 bands in one year live. Woot. Maybe next year Tool wich would be perfect.

For all you @ PT @ 013, check out the supporting Oceansize, a little weird but really good and different from anything else.

SOMETIMES THE SINGLE THAT COMES OUT IS THE CRAPPIEST SINGLE ON THE ENTIRE CD

of course!!

but why make a single that is complies to this standard, than just replace it with something else worthwhile

I think the perfect time to listen to Porcupine tree is while driving along the coast at night.

Have you guys seen the video for "strips the soul?" I watched it at a friends house last night..damn! Thats an awesome video!
Opeth should take some pointers from that one

PT was amazing!
Place was packed and they played a pretty heavy setlist, compared to 8 months ago. " It was many months ago when we played here, 2nd show in The Circle of Deadwing, so we thought of playing you a different setlist', as Steven Wilson explained that evening. And so they did.
Show just stood it's ground and again, a big hell yeah! for their sound engineer. If i find a setlist, i'll post it.

Not if I'm first!

Setlist :

1. Intro/Open Car :tickled:
2. Blackest Eyes :tickled:
3. Lazarus
4. Hatesong
5. Don't Hate Me
6. Mother & Child Divided :err: ?
7. Buying New Soul (ingekorte versie )
8. So-called Friend :err: ?
9. Arriving Somewhere But Not Here :worship:
10. .3
11. Start Of Something Beautiful
12. Halo :headbang:
==============
13. Radioactive Toy :Spin:
14. Trains :worship: :headbang:

Btw, what did you think of Oceansize? Pretty good eh? Mostly new album, bit of a shame since the first one is a bit better.

I actually just bought Effloresce the other day, and its pretty cool! Reminds me of a heavier Radiohead, and I definitely notice some Porucpine Tree influence, particularly in the chord changes and harmonic note choices. I like it!

Don't hate me! i still get the chills when i think back at that performance, it was so good. Gavin Harrison rocks my socks! He's a living metronome, it's great to see that guy at work.
and Oceansize...well, they could not keep me interested.
To me? Lotta Show and No Go.
