Haha, I have to admit I saw this coming.

I do like some of their songs, but I just enjoy guitar/bass/drums-driven music alot more.

Admittedly, in comparison to Tool, P Tree is not quite as "groove-heavy"...but who is? Also, Tool has basically every band in the world covered regarding bass/drums-driven music celebrating anal penetration. Nobody sings about getting "fisted" better than Tool.

Porcupine Tree are one of my top 3 favourite bands among with Katatonia and Paradise Lost.

Steven Wilson is a musical genius, their sound is so unique, his voice is so mesmerising and perfect. Their music can get depressing, dark and heavy, the perfect compination for me.

Porcupine Tree's songs shouldn't be listent apart. A porcupine tree album is an experience, it's not just a few songs thrown around to fill the playlist. Their latest is just another masterpiece, It took me time to get into it. At least up to 4 listens. But when I did, I just said ''wow'', that's fucking great and brilliant. It's a darkish and depressing trip, that isn't boring at all.

And the ones who find their music boring, it's just because they can't stand a song that last more than a usual radio crap , 3-4 minutes. Porcupine Tree's music isn't for average or narrow-minded listeners.

Such a tough decision. I love both versions of Porcupine Tree, but I believe that they have a more distinct sound now. Earlier Porcupine Tree is great, but maybe a little too Pink Floydish for my tastes. I love it, but it doesn't feel new.
