hey, I've got a crazy and wild idea that you're all so totally going to reject.

why not just revive the RC-zine, and have everyone one the reco-roster write a single review, then do the reviews in turn on a cyclic basis, then adding or removing people if see fit to participate or not?

It doesn't have to be in-depth, believe me, I just want us to avoid simplifying it to nothing (aka "listen to this because it rules"). A brief description is fine.

I'm trying to avoid what happened last time where some recommendation threads got 3 or 4 responses and the majority of us didn't even download / listen.

Yeah, I agree with this.

Okay, I just typed up one of my reviews, nothing epic, just a brief background and explanation to get a feeling of what the band is about. Now time for a second...both of mine are Metal btw.

Yep, there will be a new sticky including roster, reco format, and other info.

By the way, I'm not sure if I'll post both mine tonight. The second one I was planning has been delayed. Nevertheless, I'll go with one for sure.

By the way, the last few recommendations have been on bands: Sabbat, Mortem, and Root.

This is pure coincidence.

The idea is to recommend an album, however, if you feel that the band and their respective discography needs recommending as a whole, the of course feel free.

My next recommendation will probably be a single release.
