Post pics of your patch vest/jacket

Purtenance, Root, and Utumno came with LPs. The Beherit and Master's Hammer patches were about $5 each on Ebay; and I think I got the rest from Hell's Headbangers at various points in time for about $6 each, though the back patch was somewhere around $10.

does anyone know where I can find rare back and regular patches? also a decent website that has a large selection of patches in stock would be great.

After attempting 3 times, my jacket is an extremely dark navy blue, Im sick of dyeing it so fuck black, its staying this color. A couple of my patches were iron on so I threw those on there and I sewed on a small Gorgoroth patch and my Opeth back patch today. I still have many more to sew on which will probably prove to be a pain in the ass.

Man, necromancing this thread has floored me with wave after wave of nostalgia.

Working on a new vest. I scrapped the old one that has served me well the past few years, and have salvaged most of the patches from it. I was never a fan of the vest itself (cheap black denim from Walmart) and the execution was really sloppy, especially when I ran out of black thread and started using other colors.

This time things will be done with more care. I cut the sleeves off my leather jacket that I got from Goodwill, and thus far have sewn on the Beherit back patch along with the two on either side of it (Destroyer 666 and Taake). As you can tell, I'm keeping the colors to black, white and red. A friend of mine also plans on sending me a bunch of studs for the shoulders (the round, pointy ones, not those square pyramid ones). Have a lot of work ahead of me on this one, and I've got some ideas on how to arrange it all.

Your turn, folks.

Sweet patches man! Loving the Archgoat and Behexen patches.

I'll post pictures of my old and new vests when I get home. I just whipped up a new vest last month which I'm pretty proud of but I need to stud it.

Wow, I was a fuckhead back in the day.

Since I lost my old patch vest in a horribly drunken night on Everclear, I made this new one recently. Far more badass than my old vest, too. Plus, it's leather, and as I said earlier, only leather is cool, or something.

Sweet! They are cool looking and don't hurt definitely my favorite studs as well. If you or your lady ever need I can send you some I have draws filled of it, way more than I'll ever use.

Thanks for the offer! However, our friend Kevin also has mountains of them and is already shipping them our way.

I'm pretty convinced you jinxed me Schmidt. The power of suggestion! Was yours an accident too?

@Zeph: Ahh okie dokes. Sweet deal though! I guess those of us who got those studs were just collecting them like they were going out of style  Well, if anyone needs studs holla atcha girl.

I had my patches sewn on by a tailor and when my mother took it to her, the Midnight patch was covering up a pocket, so she removed it and asked if I wanted to leave that pocket open. When i said to just sew over it, they must have put the patch upside down by accident.

Real men sew on their own patches.

I'm making good progress on mine (pics maybe later). I found a little Norwegian flag (~5" x 4") at a yard sale yesterday and sewed it on as an inverted cross.

Also, sewing over pockets is tricky. You have to use a safety pin to make sure the inside of the pocket is not in the way of the work zone. I plan to tackle that area on my vest tonight.
