This got me thinking about how I would design a patch jacket. I doubt I'll make one, but it's fun to sketch out:

I received a vest a couple days ago. I like the overall look and feel of it, but I should have gone one size smaller. I'm looking for a snug fit, which is what most people look for in a patch jacket. Luckily the vendor has a generous exchange policy. Although I was eager to wear it right away, I still need patches anyway, and until then, it's just a blank canvas.

So, in the article I posted earlier, its advises me to use fabric glue to hold the patches in place before sewing them on. Those of you who have vests, is that how you did it? Upon further consideration, I thought that it might be simpler just to pin them in place while I sew them.

Yeah I just pin them down, and not even always. Often I just put it there.
