Do you sew them on or iron them on? I should probably learn how to sew at some point just for utilitarian reasons.

I have some fabric glue that I get them stuck on with. Then I sew them.
So much easier that way

If you just glue them on they will eventually fall off in the mosh/washing machine. That said, I need to buy some denim and finally start making my vest. I started off with a rule that id only put on patches that I purchase from the band at their shows, but fucking Suffocation didnt have any patches when I last saw them so I might amend my rule a bit. And at that point maybe I should just buy some favorites. I don't know what backpatch I want either (if any at all).

Yea, but the point of the vest I am trying to make is to support current bands that are touring around in my area that I enjoyed. It will eventually be obsolete, but I want to rep bands ive seen live and enjoyed rather than just my favs when im listening in private. I may start buying shit online, but im definitely going to limit my purchases to bands ive seen live. Which unfortunately excludes an Asphyx backpatch atm (probably my favorite band), but im hoping they eventually come to the east coast in the US - their last tour was west, fuck that.

Fair enough. If I did that all my vest would have is a Kraftwerk and a Devo patch.

I’ve started a patch collection ready to make a jacket. But I’m shit at sewing! Have a huge The Chasm patch that will go right at the top of the back. Then I’ve got a few others like an awesome Necromantia patch and a Far Away from the Sun one.

Looking for a Dawn patch as I love their logo and a Hell Awaits one. And I need an At the Gates one with their old logo. Fuck the logo they used from Terminal Spirit Disease onwards.

But I haven’t even got the most important thing, the jacket itself!

Can anyone recommend some websites to buy them from? I found one a while back that had a lot of black/death patches but I’ve forgot the name of it!
