Post your hauls here

Tonight I found a used copy of Entombed - Clandestine. I snatched it up because I'm trying to collect a shitload of OSDM right now, especially out-of-print stuff (recently found Cadaver - In Pains, Adramelech - Psychostasia, and Unleashed - Shadows in the Deep (not sure if all of those are still out of print (whatever, what matters is that I have the ones that came out back in the day))). Aaaanyway, I've never really been very familiar with Entombed. I used to own Wolverine Blues, but that album kind of sucked so I got rid of it. I'm not sure what to think of Clandestine yet. It has its good moments and its not-so-good moments. I can't stand the whole "death & roll" thing that you can see kind of starting on this album. I also think the album is kind of inconsistent and confused. There are a couple real good quality dm songs on there and then there are these songs with these bouncy rhythms and rock influences. Not really my cup of tea. But some of the good moments on this album are really good. I recall one part in particular practically knocking me out of my seat. I suppose subsequent listens will show whether this album is really good or not.

but i can't cuz falco calls it 'quaker instant death metal' and i agree with all of his opinions.

Seriously though, I'll check it out very soon.

yeah I saw that review on metal-archives. obviously he isn't as sharp as you might think if he said something like that.

A rather large haul that I recieved for free yesterday (on the condition that I catalogue the items and give back anything they want to keep) - it's not all to my taste, but there's some stuff in there that I enjoy, at least (so hopefully none of those end up having to be given back).

GIANT FUCKING LIST

Why all for free?

I would not want all those records. I limit myself to a few records when I go to the store that way I have time to let it grow on me.

You hit the nail on the head regarding that album. I still don't know what to think of it.

wont even load for me. fuck recordnerd. they can suck my dick.

Excuse me, I meant cd tracker. I was a bit drunk last night

I got them for free because they originally belonged to my mother. She gave them to relatives, at a time when I didn't listen to metal (or indeed any music) and, to cut a long story short, they've just ended up coming back to me. I assume that they just couldn't be bothered to check what was there themselves and let me do it for them, - which took 8 hours altogether, so really not that long - and if there's anything that is worth a decent amount money they will probably reclaim it and then sell it, I suppose. I'll just have to wait and see what happens with that.

Yes, I know what you mean, Alter, about there being too many all at once. However, I have no interest whatsoever in the majority of those, so that cuts it down a lot, and then I already know most of those as it is (although not the original analogue versions, but rather the digital conversions of them). So not so much as it appears, at least not for me.

I got these on CD-R from Zephyrus in the mail.
Totalus Necrum-Vortex Vorax
Aborym-Generator
I'm listening to Totalus Necrum now and will listen to Aborym after it. Thanks to Zephyrus for sending me these. :)
