Whats so bad about them?

They are still good, worth purchasing but I wouldn't recommend those(except Gathering Wilderness) as a first listen. I think their material that doesnt have as much black metal vocals is way better...not saying im not a BM fan but his clean vocals are fucking orgasmic.

Spirit the Earth Aflame has far less black vocals than Journey's End, which is essentially still a black metal album. My personal favorite Primordial albums are StEA and TtND.

Vocals too guttural on dead Congregation, all abit progressive for my liking on Agalloch.
