First metal album I've bought in months. Thoughts on this album? I liked it a lot, but not for the reasons I expected. It seemed more like acoustic prog rock with some metal interludes.

I guess I won't pick this up, then.

Immolation - Shadows in the Light
Naglfar - Pariah
Pelican - City of Echoes

All three are disappointingly average

We'll see. I haven't heard any other Naglfar or Immolation releases, so I won't have anything to compare to.

I like the Pelican. Everything's shorter, but somehow it still feels just as epic as when their songs were 10+ minutes.
