So it seems that the local record store has been able to solve some of their problems and will remain open. I went down there with the intentions of having one last big haul, but instead combed over the newly stocked used section and found some albums I've been meaning to get for 5 dollars each:

I got the new Judas Priest as well as the new Keep of Kalessin.

I like it, outstanding drumming, and some mean vocals. Though I just got it and listened once at work it sounded to me like I was hearing a lot of the same couple riffs used in various ways. Still I was happy I got it.

I got the new Judas Priest as well as the new Keep of Kalessin.

What's your opinion of the new Priest? It is average at least on first listen. The second disc is definitely better, but I need to give it more listens obviously.

Honestly when you sit down and listen to the entire thing it's pretty entertaining, I love a few of the guitar solos on it. They did a good job of conveying the dark feeling for the album. Production is not really all that great. The guitar sound isn't really that great. I do like some of the gloomy vocal intros.....but sometimes it sounds like he's talking.
