RayLivnat,

Super clean recording. Really good quality there. I like your song man. Are you using a lot of effects on your voice or are you normally that high? If so, dope. Big fan of the high end from a male vocalist. This song reminds me of Dream Theater + Sonic the Hedgehog (that second stage with the oil and shit ya know?) Very cool. Very unique. The only thing I would've liked to see is a little more with the heavier end, more distorted parts from the guitar and some heavier break downs or something. I don't know if that's what you guys are going for. Honestly, if you changed nothing it'd still be fucking cool.

Hi, please check my band AREA51.
Melodic, Symphonic, NeoClassical metal.

Song from our 3rd album. This album was mixed by Jens Bogren. Our previous release include guest appearance by Rob Rock (Impellitteri). I hope you love it!

Hello there.

Our band is called Abysmalia and we play a style of progressive extreme-ish metal. Reviewers have thrown names such as Devin Townsend, Dream Theater, Meshuggah, The Haunted and Opeth upon describing the concept of our music, and admittably, on our back catalogue we've toured around the musical realm in the same directions as the aforementioned bands.

We are currently in the studio in the making of our fourth full-length album entitled "Amid Adversities" and we have finished one song entitled "Endeavors Inane". You can listen to the song here (it will redirect you to Mikseri.net).

Check our website for more information and free streaming of our back catalogue! Thanks for listening and all sorts of comments are very much welcome!

Hey, this is my solo project I'm working on called Benalthel. I'd say it's melodic power death metal, or something that way. I've got three instrumental tracks up for listening from my demo, which I'm planning to add vocals to this or next week some time. Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for checking it out and I hope it's something people will enjoy listening to!

Hey man had a watch of this. This is v cool! The production value is pretty good! I like the ultra slow mo shots of cymbals and strings etc... The playing is also v tight which makes the while thing sound much more pro than a lot of stuff out there. I can feel the energy and also a little healthy humour in this video.

Things I think can be improved: there's a stabby type sound in the mix, which either sounds like an over-zealous bass or a synth part or something... It's a little distracting, but if it's possible to keep just some of the percussive elements of that sound it could be of benefit.

The effects on the vocals add some character, but it's difficult to hear the words - this is something which comes down to taste, but I reckon less effects and more compression perhaps would work well. Your singer sounds decent esp towards the end in the higher register, so why not bring it out a little more?

This one is a little more tricky... But the riff sounds a little stock to me. VERY well executed and will make for great mosh pits at gigs etc... But feel like I've heard songs like this before.

Finally, I think you guys would be great live! but potential punters could get a little depressed by the couple of posts I've seen you put up eg "no one will care about the single", "we'll gig, but only if there's demand". Don't undersell yourselves. Besides gigging is usually the way to create demand :)

Hope this helps, I look fwd to hearing more!

T

Really appreciate the feedback! The farty sound is a synth and it will be tamed.

Regarding the highspeed stuff, I used the same camera they use in mythbusters etc for the bass string wobbles and cymbal hits. Borrowed of course!

Finally, a new full-length Dimaension X album is available for the first time in almost two years!

Dimaension X - "E-Crisis-1" is now ready for download at the Internet Archive

http://www.archive.org/details/ECrisis1/

It appears that all the derivations of the file types are not complete yet, but is is available in 192 kbs MP3. You can stream live from the player, download the songs individually, or go to the left panel and download a ZIP file of the whole thing. These are some really old songs that I was listening to on cassette tape that I thought were pretty cool, but needed some serious updating.

thanks for your support!
