You pretty much gotta learn to love and embrace the fizz as "aggressive sizzle"...or sell it

But nah, it depends on the model (2 ch, 3 ch, Dual, Triple); I actually find I prefer clips of the Triple over the Dual; the Triple always sounds punchier and the fizz slightly less blatant to me.
My theory is it's because the power amp actually plays a pretty large role in the tone of the red channel, cuz in most amps, the power amp supplies negative feedback to the preamp (I don't really know what that means tbh, except that it subdues the highs/fizz significantly

), but in Modern Red, the Recto's power amp doesn't supply the negative feedback; instead, the pre-amp out is low-passed (hence why impulses made with the power amp of a Recto in modern red are fizz/buzz-city).
