Post your recto tones!

I'll post another tone which is different to the one I posted here before.

If anyone wants to give me some help with this mix, I made a seperate thread in this section somewhere too. :)

Here is the first one again.

My recto is a 3 channel Dual Rectifier by the way. :) Hopefully I can get some miced clips happening this week - I would have today but my hot water system broke so I had to be able to hear the door in case the people delivering my new one came today.

Sly DI, gtrs only (dropbox suck at this time and I can't upload entire mix with drum:()

Link are below

Finally upload the files with my drummer dropbox

2 channels recto, revG
Bolt, SD, org to modern through my 1960A

It's a little shoutout, same setting exept that I use my TS9 vs my MT2

Guitar itself:

TS

MT2

With drum:

TS on a mix situation

MT on a mix situation

I feel really happy by the result since I A/B testing with my previous recto tone and I hear an improvement... Hope I'm on the right way:devil:

Could someone post 2 clips of the same tone, same settings, with 2 different cabinets? For example the rectifier cabinet and a marshall cabinet. I just want to see how much the tone varies between cabinets as my only experience is with impulses (and with them it varies A LOT)

RevF Dual Recto modern, red, bold, silicon

Recto into Marshall

Marshall Cab with t75, miced with sm57 and md421

Thanks for this Lasse
Cool to hear this mic combinason with g75

Quadtracked or dual tracked with 4 tracks (1 for each mic on each side) ?

I'd curious to hear a regular (one mic, one track on each side hard-panned) dual-tracked sample.

I think you misunderstand a little:lol:
When you blend 2 mics, each mic have is own track but this count for one track.
In dual tracking situation you have:

L sm57/md 421 R sm57/md 421

Lasse posted a rock session a couple of time ago with dual track main guitar with 4 mics (sm57/C414/and others mics I can't remember) for each guitar tracks:lol:

Well actually i don't remember reading Lasse said he blended both mics or dualtracked instead of quadtracked, so it could also have been :
*L100 : SM57 performance 1
*L80 : MD421 performance 1
*R80 : MD421 performance 2
*R100 ! SM57 performance 2

or the same but with one performance for each mic/side (quadtracked)

Nothing obvious here which is why i was asking, even if it seems that the way you said he did it (blending the SM57 and MD421 in one track, dualtracking) is the most common/standard way.

blended the mics to one track (421 about 5 dB lower than the 57). the quadtracked.
100L/R and 81L/R...the 81% a bit lower again.

so it's quadtracked, but 8 tracks in total (2 mics each), still only quadtracked of course (4 different performances)

Ok thanks for the details Lasse !

Mind posting a sample with only dual 100L/R tracks (muting the 81L/R ones) ? Curious to hear how it sounds.

^ yes the lead is fucking atrocious. That's what happens when you have a shitty vibrato (i'm working on it!) and try and record it as you are learning it from guitar pro!

The Recto is an awesome amp! Spot on lasse!

Killer tones Poida ! And that Nevermore snippet you covered is one of my fav. Nevermore moments :) And i do suck at vibratos too :)
