Carkeek Park (my favorite place)

Went to the parents homestead for dinner tonight.

My dad bought a fishing boat last year and has taken up crabbing over in the Hood Canal. He went over there this weekend and caught 3 keepers. My mom made soup out of it tonight with clams, shrimp and scallops.

First time I've ever cracked open crab legs. Here's how it turned out:

I'm not the biggest fan of shellfish, but I tried a bowl of it and it was... ok I guess. Just not my thing, really. Plus there were tons of onions. Fvck that!

Dog got a bath and dried off on the couch.

Then promptly ate and took a nap. What a life haha.

(actually I have come to find out they have these exact same crabs living in the Gulf)

So I guess marylanders have to steam them with mountains of Old Bay seasoning, they don't do it that way elsewhere.
