post your V guitars!

Hey, nice one, can you give me your input in Ran guitars ? Do you have any ESP or Jackson guitar to compare it with ?

hiya,

Well the RAN Guitar is a very nice sounding guitar, light weight and comfortable to play. My wife owns a trans-black Jackson RR3, and i have an ESP Eclipse.

back then, when i ordered the RAN in 2005, it cost me less then my ESP Eclipse,
compared to the jackson, the RR3 is weights much more, its bolt-on, while the RAN is Neck-Through Construction, and the RAN is more comfortable to play, and has a much more defined and open sound.

The Built-Quality of my RAN is very good, accurate fretwork, the inlays are nicely done. i was able to set the strings-heigth very low without a buzz or string-noice
i wasn't able to to that on the Jackson, nor the ESP Eclipse.

i have played lots of Jackons Selected US Guitars, and even some Jackson Customshops.. and i would prefer those over the RAN.
but it always depend on which kind of guitar to you want, and how much money you want to spend for it..

cheers

That's nice. Thanks for your input. Yeah, back in 2005, it was damn cheap, and you did not have to wait months before they start working on your guitar. Now they are overbooked and raised their price, but still are very attractive in my opinion. I'm still interested in the fact that a custom guitar with no fancy option costs the same as any usual standard guitar.

that snakeskin V is pure awesomeness. incredibly beautiful guitar.....just incredible!
i'm not even a fan of V style guitars, but i'd buy this one in a heartbeat if i had some spare cash flying around.....wow....
