from what I remember with Axenstar is that they are kinda run of the mill. I could be wrong though.

that's pretty much the consensus when scanning metal forums.
and i understand it to some extent - they don't have the flashiest guitarists/drummer, don't sing about swords & dragons, and don't seem to inspire the love/hate thing ala Dragonforce or Hammerfall.
i vehemently disagree with the accepted wisdom however.
these Swedes are fukkin awesome.
youtube/myspace 'em - and give 'em a fair go. they lodge in your subconscious & tear shit up.

before you wipe these guys, listen to 'Surreality' from 2005's 'Forever Endeavour'.
THEN profess that they're average/mediocre.
