I've just recently been getting into Power Metal.
I think its abit Cheesy, but still it fuking kicks ass!
I've only been listening to Manowar and Rhapsody.

Can anyone recommend any good Power Metal bands to check out! :)

Yes there is a new band called PrisonRape that has a album called Rainbow Power, and they redid Judad Priest's Ram it Down.

Nocturnal rites <(MUS-MUS-MUST HEAR!!!!)
Seven Witches
Edguy <(new album is baaaaaaaad ass!!!! one of the best)
Elven King <(if you can find some)
Brainstorm <(Like Nevermore but more power less metal, V V good)
Tad Morose <(gotta love em)
Stratovarius <(cheesy as hell)
Luca Turilli <(rhapsody guitarist side project)
Falconer <(Legends)
Wizard <(bloody ace)

Helloween(listen to the 1st 3 albums Walls of Jerico and Keper of the Seven keys the two parts)

Angra (one of my fav)
Impelliterri...
Iced Earth..All their albums except Horror Show
Blind guardian...

Angel Dust
Ark
Blind Guardian
Demons & Wizards (blind guardian & iced earth members)
Edguy (the new album, hellfire club, is great, the rest are just avarage)
Elvenking (amazing power/folk metal)
Hammerfall
Helloween
Iced Earth (the new album isnt that great, ripper is a tool)
Into Eternity (they are a mix of like power, death, and thrash, good stuff)
Kamelot
Lost Horizon
Masterplan (all power metal fans need to hear this band)
Mercury Tide (angel dust vocalist's new band)
Secret Sphere
Sonata Arctica (silence is a good album the rest kinda suck)
Symphony X
Symphorce
Thunderstone (generic as hell, but fairly decent)

Im also gonna list a few non-power metal bands that you might like as well, all clean vocals.

Charon
Evergrey
His Infernal Majesty (H.I.M.)
Nightingale (one of dan swano's many bands)
Nightwish
Odyssey (another dan swano band)
Poisonblack
Sentenced (their old stuff is like death metal, but the newer stuff you would like)
Skyclad (folk metal!)

Yeah, so if you have about 700£ you can just go buy all them and not get board for the rest of your life! TOO RITE NOCTURNAL RITES RULE!!! Shadow Land is my fav album by them, but they are all fookin ace.

@ 5th Season: ElvenKing are one of the best bands ever! I got into them a couple of years back when a drummer introduced me, this is the first time Ive heard them mentioned outside mine and this drummers conversations. Im very very happy now :p

King Chaos, the new Elvenking album is gonna be put out by The End Records, so we will actually be able to get this album really easy. Have you heard the new samples? It sounds SOOOO good.

Spirit In Black, southeast pa? thats where im at. just curious as to what area ur in. im like 15-20 mins south of philly.

Vicious Rumors - "Soldiers Of The Night", "Digital Dictator"
Power - "Justice Of Fire"

Jag Panzer - "Ample Destruction"
Metal Church - "Metal Church", "The Dark"
