Anyone hear anything about the preshow lineup yet?

I would love to have a triple Chicago threat there of;

Ion Vein
12th Gate
David Shankle Group (shameful plug) LOL

No way Im from Chicago so I have had the unforunate pleasure of seeing Ion Vein and 12th Gate numerous times...at least 4 a pice. Both have waisted my time especially Ion Vein. Now a good choice would to bring back Stride! or maybe a Magistril(did i spell that right?).

I do know the Pre Party is not officially connected to ProgPower at all. And as far as I know Glenn doesn't have any say in the bands. But it kicked ass last year. As far as I'm concerned ProgPower is a 3 day show.

Correct. Shane DuBose (my bass tech) runs the pre-party. I give him quite a bit of input, but the decision is up to him. I can tell you that the lineup is set, but he hasn't gone public yet.

Glenn H>

heheh, i was wondering how long it would take before this subject came up. It took more than two days :tickled: .

well for the bands that..........nah, just like you've had to wait for Glenn to announce the bands you'll have to wait again, expect some good surprises ;)

I gotta agree with you guys...the pre-party is a great way to begin the whole PPUSA experience...it really is like a 3-day festival. Can't wait...

For what it's worth, Stride was really excellent last year. I live in Corpus Christi, but I had to go to Atlanta to discover a kick-ass band from Houston...oh well...

Glenn,

How would I go about getting my band considered for the preparty next year.

Thanks alot
I'm not Glenn - but you just have to speak to Shane at the preparty.... you'll know who he is. Have great material and a promo kit ready... and he'll consider you.
And from what I have heard of the bands lined up to play - you'll enjoy.

Hey Shreddy,

I suggested DSG last year for the Pre Party and ProgPower. You guys are AWESOME. Hoping to see you guys live soon.

The progpower site wont load on my school server(anywhere on campus, any computer) for some unknown reason, so can someone please give me a bit more information? Is the pre-party thing that thursday night?

It has been for three years running, so I'd be astounded if it wasn't.

The line up sjhould be announced next week. The hold up is the venue. It may need to change due to Atlanta passing a no 24 hour liquor liscence bill. But I think that everyone will be quite pleased. i hope....... :headbang: :headbang:

Maybe this is a stupid question but if Ion Vein and 12th gate was a waste of time why did you see them 4 times????:err: Couldn't have been that bad. Personally I really dug the new Ion Vein CD and think they'd be cool to see. They are opening the 2nd day at BWBK.

I would llike to see Stride again. Also add Houston's Magistral again.

Just keep Persephine's (However it's spelled) Dream outta there.
