I've bought CDs from $2 to $17, but $12-13 seems to be the average. What's really amazing - especially your first time here - is being able to see and physically shop for the vast quantity of discs you'd otherwise only be able to order online. This is a HUGE part of the appeal of ProgPower for me. Well, that and, you know, seeing the bands!

CDs sold by bands are usually around $15. Sometimes you might find them for $10. Not all bands bring CDs and many only bring their latest release, especially if PP is their only stop in America. You should be able to find any in print CDs in the vendor's area.
Band tees can be anywhere from $15-$30. Usually headliners keep their high prices ($25 on average). The lower slot bands rarely go above $20. Some of the vendors carry t-shirts for the bands playing that weekend though usually not the current tour shirt.

The first time I went to ProgPower, I was amazed at the vendors area! :OMG: Unfortunately a very good vendor in the prog & power genre (Laser's Edge) won't be there this year but many still are. It was fun to judge how fast the ATM would run out of cash because people were taking out fistfulls of cash! (Fortunately some now do take credit cards.)

Because of fewer amount of vendors this year, Glenn will be selling CDs of bands that will be playing at next year's PP USA.:kickass:

But to answer your question - CDs can range from really cheap (less than $10) to $30 for rarities/hard to find imports. Most common prog & power CDs can be found for $12-$18 range. Beats buying them online and paying shipping.

In other words - bring cash and plenty of it, because you'll be buying TONS of CDs :)

Ken and Laser's Edge may not be there this year, and we will all miss him, even the other vendors will miss him. Nightmare Records will do our best to fill the void left with them not being there, we are adding some extra tables, and bringing plenty of merchandise, so get out your cas, and/or credit cards and come on by and visit us.

Thanks for the great input.
Sounds perfectly fine to me -in fact, I have no problems paying $20-25 for a t-shirt, or even more if its some kind of special thing, like an event tee or sumthin

I think I paid well over $30 for a V-shirt by SyX some ten years back....

Looking forward to it!

I was going to mention Nightmare - but I figured you or Lance would do that! :)

And yes, I will be buying from you guys.. guaranteed!

Want a good suggestion? Don't bother trying to budget for merch. You'll always spend more than you actually plan on. The vendors area is amazing every year.

I have never planned on buying CDs.. But I got an look just for s n' g's and always find something... and have averaged about $100 in CDs I didn't plan on buying...

I am happy to hear Glen will have CDs for next year's lineup on hand.. There's always one that grabs me during the 'reveal' and I want their CD immediately..

Keep in mind that band t-shirts in the venue (as opposed to in The Vinyl where the vendors are located) will only be available on the day that the band is playing, and they do sell out. If you see a t-shirt you like from a band playing the fest, just buy it, 'cuz it won't be available the next day.

QFT!

if you see it and you want it, buy it!
