This band destroys :kickass: I found out about them on this forum... and though I wasn't blown away by The Gathering Wilderness (I thought it was good, but not amazing), I just listened to some of Spirit the Earth Aflame and I absolutely love it... I can easily see this being one of my favorite albums in my collection... it just sounds so fresh and mezmerizing, folky, but not in a cliched way. Are their other albums this good? Discuss this great band :kickass:

EDIT: Was STEA released on vinyl?

I love em'. They're like a modern Irish Bathory. That's what they remind me of.

BTW, who else loves that scream at the beginning of To Enter Pagan (bonus on rerelease of STEA)

WE HAVE RETUUUURNED... TOOO ENTTTER PAGGGAN!

One of my all time favorite bands. You might want to check out Nemtheanga's other band, Void of Silence. Human Antithesis is an excellent cd.

A Journey's End is highly underrated in my opinion. It's got some pretty awesome fucking songs on there.

but yeah...get em all

I remember when everyone was pissing themselves over The Gathering Wilderness here not too long ago. My opinion hasn't changed, its mediocre. The main problems are that its too repetitive (even for minimalistic music) and the vocals were annoying for the most part. Good desolate atmosphere though.

I have yet to check out their older shit, perhaps I should sooner rather than later.

i havent listened to all their albums in great detail, other than the gathering wilderness. i think the gathering wilderness is the most spectacularly refreshing album ive heard in years. it is totally different to anything else i listen to and is absolutely brilliant.
