Don't know if this was mentioned yet, but here's a tip for getting $50 off full market price and get an Mbox 2 mini in the process at no extra charge...

Buy that, then...
Crossgrade:

Cross grades are good on PT 8 only. 7.4 is not valid. Anyone who purchased the Complete toolkit between October and now will receive a free upgrade to the current incarnation. Biggest effects of Toolkit are more tracks (more than any of us may ever need) as well as expanded video capabilities. No more MP toolkit for PT 9 (don't need it). And yes it really works as a standalone without error, I've personally seen it in action. I'm looking forward to seeing 32 channels of simultaneous I/O.
I think you might be referring to this...

Looks like you do get a discount if you have the older MPTK's.
Actually you would get $300 off. If you buy an Avid interface after Oct 4 you get PT 9 for $99 or so I read...
I bought both my 002's used does this matter?
is the original Mbox qualified for the crossgrade?
also, I love that you have a folder called "SHIT" lol
Does your hardware have to be registered? Or is yours i should ask?
[UEAK]Clowd;9479284 said:+1 to the demo. I'm almost sort of intrigued enough to venture outside of the cubase world.
I'm mostly worried about this input monitoring nonsense? does it or doesn't it have it lol, seems like a pretty basic feature to leave out, who actually monitors through their interface honestly?
does the ADC work properly? what if you've got a full chain of plugs. 4000ish samples seems like it could get used up pretty fast.
and being able to see the waveform while moving stuff around, did they finally fix that?
how's the midi?
4096 should be sufficient for most needs. Plugins don't add latency on top of each other the way you are thinking. If you have 12 plugins that all have 10 samples of latency, the total latency is 10 samples, not 120 samples. You only need to compensate as much as the most latent plugin you are using. So if you are using a limiter somewhere that has 2048 samples of latency, plus 500 other plugins that all use less latency, 4096 is still enough because you only need 2048.
Nope, this is what is holding me back.

I was under the impression that stacking plug-ins on a single track will give you a cumulative latency. Usually when I'm running 3 or 4 instances of Nebula on my master bus, my outboard comps meter sounds about half a second before I hear them.
Cool.
Well, one thing to clarify... I have an Mbox 2 Mini and a registered copy of PTLE 7.3. Am I entitled to this crossgrade offer? And more than that... how the hell do I buy it without using a credit card!!??
