Thumbs up on this line-up also!!!

Wheezer, What are the chances of you making it to Chicago for the Powerfest?

Unfortunately, no chance at all. :erk:  The wife's truck died so we had to get her a new/old one. Put a crimp in the entertainment budget.

Leatherwolf is old school. Circus Maximus played Prog Power last year. They're proggy and pretty good. They're not quite my cup of tea -- they borrow a little too much from Symphony X, IMO, and it bugs me. Circle II Circle ought to make any Savatage fan happy (Where the hell is SavaRon anyway?). They played the first PP I went to -- IV. Theocracy I'll have to do a little research on myself.

Damn man, that sucks. I hate spending money on shit that you aren't prepared to spend money on... especially BIG things like cars and such.

Chicago is a pretty cheap trip for us so I can't not go, ya know!

Leatherwolf, didn't know they were still around ??? That's great !!
Saw Circle II Circle last year and they didn't convince me, good band but songs aren't strong enough (to my taste) to be very interesting....

interesting. They kicked my ass with the first release, Walls, fields of sorrow it was months before I took that out of my cd player. I noticed how much Oliva helped on that release and it showed. I p/u their 2nd release all new member except Zakk and I've played it once....just didn't hit me or have the impact that the first release did. Guess I'll be pulling that one out for a second listen.

Man, that is pretty damn cool. Looks like I will be spending 20 more bucks.

Leatherwolf...cool man. Wade Black is the new singer and he actually sounds pretty good for the type of music. His voice is much more fitting for this role than in Crimson Glory.

This is a very good line up. I was really excited about Leatherwolf until I remembered the original singer won't be with them. I haven't heard them with Wade Black, but don't have high hopes. I have never been a fan of his vocals.

Haven't heard a thing out of CIIC since the release of the last album. They didn't do any local gigs or anything. I was begining to wonder if they were even still together.

We didn't do too bad. We got her a '96 Toyota PU for about $8,000. It's only got 130,000 miles on it so it ought to last another seven or eight years. :D

If I lived that close I'd be going too. :headbang:

Is 130K not a lot for that model? Usually that's when I've had to go get another vehicle.

Car payments suck.:yuk:

Not for a Toyota. Those trucks run forever if you take care of it. Oil changes and basic maintenance and you can get over 200k easy. I've seen quite a few of them over 300k.

As a 20 yr old I had a 79 Toyota Corolla with a suped up engine, Hurst shifter, lowered the car, great rims, etc, etc, etc. That thing was still ( barely ) running when I took it to the junkyard. Over 350,000 miles on it. Damn fine cars Toyota makes!!!

I've got a '97 Toyota Tacoma (89k on odometer). Those Japanese take pride in their work and put out a quality product. 130K is just breaking their engines in, as long as you take care of them. Like gonzo said, 200-300K is the projective lifetime of a Toyota.

On several occasions I've had guys come up to me and give me shit for not buying American. I reply, "when Americans make a vehicle that will last 300K, I'll buy it". Those lines between domestic and import are blurred anyway...most Toyotas are assembled right here, employing Americans.
