Which band has surprised you most in you pre PP prep?
Blind Guardian because people I know had said they were just OK and kind of a foreign Savatage minus the great riffs.

These people are not your friends. In fact, you shouldn't even associate with them at all.

I know it seems like people have moved on to much cooler pastures, but I figure I would see how people are doing a few weeks out.

having a hard time getting into any band? - Devin Townsend...still. I know he's brilliant, but I just don't get it.
which band do you think will take people by surprise? - Vanishing Point. They're one of the best, most consistent melodic prog metal bands.

huh. I guess I should try listening to more of them. From what I heard of it when I checked it out it was just sympho power metal. Any recommendations for their more prog oriented stuff?
