ProgPower USA KICK-OFF Headliner announced!!!!!!

I think the main reason he won't be at PP is that it just isn't necessary - he can do fine touring on his own. PP would just be another stop for him, not the launching pad that it was for so many other bands that tour now but couldn't a decade ago.

Ummm....have you looked at this year's line up?

The one year I'm going to be down there for the whole week, and now I'm really regretting that.

Accept does nothing for me. Makes me really wonder if I'll show up for Thursday's show at all.

I'm now conflicted. Love the midweek lineup and the Showcase up until Accept. Though as I said, my main gripe with Accept has always been Udo's vocals, so maybe this will change my mind.

This is awesome! :headbang: Accept will be my main reason for purchasing a Thursday night ticket, but that's a good enough reason alone for me. Thanks, Shane!

I am not too familiar with their new vocalist, Mark Tornillo. Even though it took me a bit of getting used to at first, I really like UDO's voice and kinda feel like seeing Accept without him will be just a bit weird. I am wondering how Mark will handle the band's material from that era. Anyone who's more familiar with his voice have thoughts on how he stands up against UDO's unique style? Or are there any clips out there of Mark singing the earlier Accept material? I'm sure there's gotta be something out there.

+1. This is how I feel about it. If Udo were still with the band, I'd be really damn excited over this announcement, but I'm not familiar with this new vocalist. If I can make it down, I'll definitely be there to see Leprous and to see how Accept are with the new guy, but I'm still not sure how I'm going to make this year work. Great job on getting them, though!

AMAZING!!!! I've always wanted them for ProgPower but wasn't expecting it ever to happen, thanks Shane and Glenn!!!!!!!! :worship:notworthy:worship:

I hadn't planned on attending the Showcase based on the first three annoncements. My plans have changed.

Saw Accept open for DIO and Iron Maiden back in the day...should be fun reliving some good times. Like others have mentioned, I am not familiar with the new singer, and lord knows Udo will not be easy to replace, but I am always open to some good old fashioned heavy metal from one of the most influential bands of all time in our favorite genre!!! :kickass:

Was it @ Poplar Creek in 1985?
That was my first concert ever... Maiden / Accept :kickass:

I guess some TT Quick stuff needs to be posted, since that's where the singer comes from:
