Programming Drums: A Simple Solution

Alright, so I'm a musician on a budget(big surprise)

Anyways, are there some nice freeware programs that will do the job of programming drums? I don't really feel like investing hundreds into ez drummer or bfd. I really just want to be able to have something simple that I can create demos with at the very least. Your help would be very much appreciated

you could try beat craft...there is a short free trial ..and i think its like 50$ USD to buy the program afterwards

If you already use Reaper as your DAW, then you can download a set of drum samples and a ReaDrum Template at this link:

Then programming the drums in the Piano Roll is very simple point-click like any other MIDI instrument. Here's a few more links:
