I have it finished. Kinda.

I just bought a new router and table saw today to start cabinet building. I also ordered up some screen printing supplies. I have decided to just suck it up and do everything in house, instead of sending things off to get done by separate companies. Only thing I have to practice with is tolex/vinyl, which I may have to end up paying someone else to do. Or just use rhino liner, it may match the amp well.

I know not many people look on the inside of amps(unless you are a gear whore), but the inside of my amps are going to be fucking sweet. For the turret board, it is usually made out of a colored fiber glass sheet, like this-

Well I've gone further to this-

It's just those little things that will make my amps more 'cool' to have. Also, all wires throughout the amp are going to be sleeved with braid(thing high end cable look).

This thing is going to rock guys, and it sounds great right now.

Nah the amp layout isn't mine, I just posted it to show what normal turret board material looks like. My board is going to be carbon fiber. And it will look a lot cleaner than that pic.

Oh yeah, does anybody here know anything about screen printing on metal? I've done it for Tshirts before, but I can see the small intricacies of text on an amp face plate being very tough to do...

If you get serious with this, I would strongly recommend getting your stuff laser etched. It just looks better and looks worth the send out time IMO.

If you have a cuniberti reamp box, the sides of that are laser etched.

I considered it, but in order to do it cheap I'd have to order a ton, which ends up not being cheap :)

I would go that route for sure if I was planning on selling more than 1 a month, but I'm only planning on doing 6 a year.

Completely redesigned my preamp, it was way to similar to another amp out there, and I really wanted to do my own thing. The pic is the whole preamp section and FX loop (tubes and pots are on proto chassis).

It runs and sounds KICK ASS. Very simple design, yet LOTS of 'sizzly' gain on tap. Managed to do it with only 2 tubes. I say 'sizzly' since it has a more modern overdrive to it, not JCM 800 sounding (although with the Gain 2 down low, and the parallel stage turned up, it has hot rodded Marshall OD type sound, kinda like the XTC lead channel).

Gimmie some time to get the power amp and power supply running how I want it, and I'll throw it all together in a chassis and post some pics.

At the risk of sounding neanderthal I still have to say that is REALLY impressive. I cant imagine designing and building my own guitar amp. HUGE props to you, dude!!!

CLIPSORS RIGHT NOEW I WANT TO START GASIGN FOR THIS THING ALREADY :zombie:

haha I'd post clips I've run through LTspice, but they aren't 100% accurate as it doesn't account for input impedance and a ton of other factors. I promise this will be done within the week, so long as my power supply design doesn't give me issues.
