Yeah, but the problem with beat detective is you have to rely on it's ability to accurately detect your shit, then if it doesn't you have to go in and un fuck it. With time warp it's just a matter of dragging around the time line. It's user controlled.

So yeah, pro tools has it sort of. I'm saying I like the way cubase does it better, so I would rather have it function in the same manner.

Plus, yeah I could have read the manual, learned how to do it. You are correct! But it's a fucking button in cubase. There is no learning key commands or how to use beat detective. Hit the button and go. I like that.

and again you are displaying not the lack of the capability of pro tools, but rather your lack of having read the manual.

i NEVER have to go back and "unFUCK" anything, because nothing ever gets fucked... you can choose to view/edit the beat trigger times, and make sure they are right to start with.. and nothing gets fucked.

Wait, what? How did I say that? All I said is I like the way cubase does it. Plus I'm in no way stateing one is better than the other (cubase vs. pro tools). Just stating what features I wish were identical and available in each.

So this thread has given me the motivation to try what your saying in pro tools. It shall be interesting to see how it works out.
