Public drunkness legal in Finland

a couple of the local guys will confirm this:

10 minutes from me is a great little dive called The Red Raven. Most of the chicks that dance there are metal chicks so its no surprise to walk in while Slayer or something is blasting. Drinks are cheap, service is great and the chicks dance .... wait for it, COMPLETELY NAKED!!! Only thing being its optional for the girls. However, most of them do because obviously those are the ones that get better tips ;)

another place about 20 minutes away, Penns Port Pub ... plenty of alcohol, plenty of pussy shown. As a matter of fact, the girls get right up on the bar after they dance and walk around and shove their snatches in your face

Now onto hookers ... I've already complimented Hamburg on its wonderful assortment of fine looking specimens. Do not make the mistake of thinking we don't have just as many good looking ones "around the way" ... only place where you win and we lose in that aspect is that its legal there and not here ;)

and the chicks dance .... wait for it, COMPLETELY NAKED!!!

the fact that you're capitalizing those words shows that that's supposed to be something special? ;)

anyways....I'm totally open to checking out your places when I'm over there - will be in Chicago in march, let's hope there's something cool going on up there as well

Wait, there is strip clubs where you cant drink alcohol ?

some states require that the girls cannot be fully naked in an establishment that SELLS alcohol. Those places the girls can only get down to the smallest of g-strings, although most of them will do fun little things like pulling them aside on stage, etc ...

then when they walk around outside the bar (trying to get you to agree to a lap dance) they'll usually show more as they're being tipped

some places get around that law by not SELLING alcohol and instead letting customers bring their own alcohol ... which the club will happily hold and refrigerate for you and serve you as you hang out

lots of states are different but in mine a couple laws were just changed that allow for the girls to be fully naked if they want AND for the club to sell alcohol

I was only emphasizing with the capital letters that things are not SOOOOO different ;)

I honestly can't speak for Chicago area, only been there several times on tour and never got to partake of the local night life. However, you find yourself trolling through Philly anytime be sure to hit me up dude, I'll take you around

"They were released a few hours later and now have a March 9 court date."

EDIT: Oh fuck, I'm becoming... well, you know. Sorry!

I probably should have wrote "usually"

it'll most likely be the exact same thing except that the date was pushed back

only thing that would make it something bigger than it normally would be is if they plead not guilty to the charges. At that point it turns into an actual court event but they'd be pretty fuckin stupid to do that having been caught "in the act" so to speak

I wouldn't be surprised if they did

lol that reminds me how we once crushed a playground with a few bottles of vodka.

We weren't 14 at that time tho.
Also not the 2nd time we did that haha

I think we are allowed to drink on the streets here, as long as you dont cause any other stuff like disturbance or trespassing you're good.
Also got quite a bit of clubs in my area, but can't guarantee for the quality of the meat in there^^
Same for the chicks on the street in front of the clubs...sometimes really hard to distinguish the hookers from the "normal" chicks beeing picked up by their party-party moron friends though
Oh and usually the german folks get the uncensored games from us, which is also pretty nice ;)

Dude, shit is bad here.
I used to play this total shit bar and cops would just wait outside near last call and hassle people WALKING OUT OF THE BAR.

Busting people on alcohol/drug charges/traffic issues is the way they generate revenue.

So if you go to another country should you only be required to follow the laws of your country of origin?

That would mean people from Finland are exempt from public intoxication laws in the United States. It would also mean I could go to Spain and bring an assault rifle with me.

If some one doesn't like the laws of the land, then don't go there.

I don't think they quite meant that, so much as they were explaining why they were doing it (Even though they probably did know if they had thrown the beer away )

You saw quite a bit of effort to completely misunderstand the whole deal here, didn't you?

Your right, they must have known it was illegal or they wouldn't have thrown the open bottle away. That is probably what got them screwed right there. Refusing to admit who threw the bottle probably ticked the cops off too.

I have talked to cops plenty of times on the street with an open drink in my hand and never been arrested. Then again I wasn't sloppy drunk and obnoxious to the fuzz.

completely OT but does anyone else find this google ad on the forum a bit disturbing?

When I said I was not obnoxious to the cops does that imply that the Finish guys in the news article were?

My ability to read your mind is not currently working. I have absolutely now idea what your original or current point are.

None the less I surrender. Because it is lunch time now and I am no longer getting paid.

Just that I thought it was a funny law that you can spend a night in jail for having an open alocoholic beverage with you in public, and I thought it was rather hilarious that the title of the article was "Public drunkeness legal in Finland?" like it was breaking news. Of course, I understand it feels completely normal to US citizens.

just to clarify ... you're not gonna spend a night in jail for having an open container of alcohol

they most likely got thrown in to sober up due to obvious, excessive public drunkenness which also involved littering and giving the cops a hard time
