Pure Nordic Metal!!

I have to agree that Opeth isn't pure Nordic metal. The Opeth sticker ALONE, however, would look stellar on the black background.

Nice 'Yota, by the way. I miss my '92.

1.) ALL: Whether or not Opeth and Amorphis are considered "pure metal" is only a matter of opinion, and I consider them pure metal because of their styles. Yes, Opeth has more "quiet" and accoustic sections than Amorphis, but I still consider them and Amorphis "pure" metal. I had an older friend in his late 40s who would have me listen to music he considered "heavy" and would say, "Oh, listen right here...it gets REAL heavy!" And as to my perspective, it all sounded like the Grateful Dead, and was NOT heavy. Funny how opinions and perspectives change as we get older and are part of different generations.

Anyway, I originally had just the Opeth decal on my black truck for about 7 months, and I loved it! I then got more into Amorphis and am also reading The Kalevala, the epic Finnish poem in which Amorphis bases most of their lyrical content, so I wanted to include their logo, as well. Just my two cents....

2.) SerenityNow!: I LOVE my 'Yota!! I originally had a '92 that was first my wife's, then I ended up being the main driver. I fell in love with it, and when it was rear-ended by a huge frontloader and totalled, I immediately started looking for another one! I found my current '93, with less miles than the '92 at the time, and will probably never own another pickup!

The engine blew in my '92. It wasn't the truck, itsel, but the guy who owned it before me (I later found out). I guess he thought he was a mechanic, and ended up messing up the head gasket. Needless to say, I should have dropped another engine in it instead of buying a whole new vehicle. That thing would go through anything. My next vehicle will be another pickup, after i pay off my current gas-hog.

By the way, I'm a Grateful Dead fan.:p

Pure " Nordic " metal would be Amon Amarth hehe ! ! The lyrics of these guys are all about the northmen, their axes and their spears AND their swords AND even yet about their desire to slaughter all :P.

Yeah....like the term I use for nu-metal, or emo-core. I refer it as pure "two chord, jumping metal"
