Ok, this one is inspired by another thread Mark (the administrator) posted in the "Chat" forum...but whatahell, it will be cool! :Smokin:

Here's how it goes :
Someone asks a question (lets keep them swanö-related, ok?), someone answers it (however they choose), and then ask a new question, like this:

Q: Got it?
A: Yupp
-------------------------

Ok then, let`s roll!!

Q: Song that got you into Dan Swanö?

A: Yeah, my girlfriend absolutely loves Losing Myself so...

Q: A question? Uhh... umm... well... What are your thoughts on Nothing but Death Remains?

A: I'll say "Gypsey eyes" off The Breathing Shadow from Nightingale. Is this a good answer? Hard to know who this "woman" is that is mentioned often on that first Nightingale cd....

Q: Is there a song that has a strong personal meaning for you? Which song and why?

A (Mac) : I think Nothing.. is a great album, but I prefer Purgatory - simply because that was the one I heard first.... Got connected (and addicted ) to it.
A: (Metal) : Can`t say that there is any song that has strong personal meaning for me... Most of Dan`s lyrics involves sorrow and sad love... which I can`t connect to at this moment. Then again, if I have to answer, it must be "Steal The MOon" simply because its a joyful song that makes me smile!

Q: Am I posting to often in this thread?!

I'll try to answer all questions.

Q: Song that got you into Dan Swanö? Uncreation, though it wasn't the first I heard.
Which of Dan's many projects do you listen to the most... Nightingale.
Q: Do you connect any of Dan`s songs to a girl? At The End Of The Bridge.
What are your thoughts on Nothing but Death Remains? Don't own it.
Q: Is there a song that has a strong personal meaning for you? Which song and why? Deep Inside Of Nowhere, because it often describes what I think my place in the world is...
Q: Am I posting to often in this thread?! No, all of your posts are worth reading!
What Dan song do you find to be the most emotionally expiring? Crimson.

My question is...Do you think Dan should concentrate more on progressive or death metal projects? I know he has stated he is no longer that interested in the latter, but disregard that for now.

I think he should go with progressive metal and forget death metal all together. Death just gets in the way of pain and pleasure. It is too 1D. I prefer the multi facets that progressive allows.

As for a question, why do you attach and give personal meaning to Dan's songs? Do you try to live them?

A: It makes them come alive for me, gives me mental images in my head. The mental tapestry that is created is perhaps the most rewarding part of music.

Q: Do you think Dan works better in a band format (ala Unicorn, Edge of Sanity or later Nightingale) or in a solo situation (Moontower, Karaboudjan, early Nightingale, various covers) ?

A: Well, I think Unicorn, Edge Of sanity and later Nightingale is amazing stuff... Then again, Moontower and early Nightingale are just as great... I hope he will go on with both!

Q: Fav. Tom Nouga track?

A: The track T.P is my Fav.
Q: Would you be an as much big Swanö-music-fan if he weren't such a nice guy and so much "fan-near"? (Don't know the word, close to the fans)

As for a question, why do you attach and give personal meaning to Dan's songs? Do you try to live them? I think the story in the Nightingale albums and the lyrics to Moontower in particular is very powerful.
Q: Do you think Dan works better in a band format (ala Unicorn, Edge of Sanity or later Nightingale) or in a solo situation (Moontower, Karaboudjan, early Nightingale, various covers)? This may be a redundant question, as Dan is firmly in control of all of his projects :)
Q: Fav. Tom Nouga track? Skam and Hypokondrikern
Q: Would you be and as much big Swanö-music-fan if he weren't such a nice guy and so much "fan-near"? Yes, although his responsiveness to the questions on this BB have increased my appreciation for him.

My question: Since Swano's latest projects see him working with other prominent musicians, who would you like to see him work with, besides previous collaborators?

Edge Of Sanity - Crimson

Someone reccomended I try out EoS so I pointed my Audiogalaxy at a few songs and went to play video games. When I got back I started Crimson and was like "Bloody hell! A 40 minute song! I'm screwed!"

By the time I finished listenening I was like: "Cool! A 40 minute song! This rules!"

It was a while before I learned of Dan's other projects, now he's my favorite to listen to and am on a mission to own all his albums.

Hmm, seems like there is some misunderstanding here ;)
The idea was that you should reply to the question in the last reply only, not to my first post or any of the others...

We`ll give it another go, ok?

A: Sorry, don`t know where to buy Unicorn albums in the US... Why not order them directly from Dan himself? Then you`ll get them signed aswell!

Q: Do you think Dan`s message in the Nightingale-lyrics are too sad and depressive?

A: No. Its a great story, however dark, I don't really see it as depressing. I always saw "My Arms Your Hearse" as one of the more depressing saga-type albums.. My Dying Bride -- Depressing, Fields of the Nephilim -- Super Depressing, Lycia -- Super Duper Depressing... But Dan's stuff seems more personal, more like I am reading a novel than anything else. And I agree with Markus, Dan is very close to his fans. Reading his web site is like having a converstion with the man himself, you have to dig that.....

Q: Favorite Swano lyric?? My answer: So very fragile inside, that's why I hide in empty phrases...
